Welcome to Friendly Budget! These Terms of Service (the “Terms”) govern your access to and use of the Friendly Budget web application (the “Service”). By accessing or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree with any part of them, please do not use the Service.

4.1 Eligibility Requirements

To use Friendly Budget you must:

• Be at least 16 years old (in line with GDPR requirements).
• Have the legal capacity to enter into a contract.
• Provide complete and accurate information during registration.
• Comply with the laws and regulations applicable in your country.

4.2 Account Security

You are responsible for:

• Maintaining the confidentiality of your password.
• Any activity that occurs under your account.
• Notifying us immediately of any unauthorised use.
• Using a strong, unique password.

• Tracking legitimate expenses.

6. Intellectual Property

6.1 Our Rights

Friendly Budget, including all code, designs, logos and intellectual property, remains the property of the operator. Your use of the Service grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to access the features for personal purposes only.

6.2 User Content

You retain ownership of the financial data and content you upload to Friendly Budget. By storing information in the app you grant us a limited licence to host, back up and process your data solely for the purpose of providing the Service.

7. Privacy & Data Protection

Our use of personal data is described in detail in the Friendly Budget Privacy Policy. We process personal data in line with Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (GDPR). Key highlights:

• We collect only the information required to operate Friendly Budget.
• Your data is encrypted in transit and protected on our servers.
• You can request data export or deletion at any time.
• We do not sell personal data to third parties.

8. Service Availability and Support

8.1 Availability

We aim to keep Friendly Budget available 24/7. However, maintenance windows or technical issues may occasionally affect availability. We will always try to schedule maintenance during low-traffic periods and provide notice when possible.

Support is provided via the in-app contact form. Response times may vary depending on demand.

9. Disclaimer of Warranties & Limitation of Liability

9.1 Warranties

Friendly Budget is provided “as is” and “as available”. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free or meet all of your expectations. You are responsible for evaluating whether Friendly Budget suits your needs.

9.2 Limitation of Liability

9.3 Force Majeure

We are not responsible for any delay or failure caused by events beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to natural disasters, wars, cyber-attacks or actions of public authorities.

10. Termination

10.1 By the User

You may terminate your use of Friendly Budget at any time by:

• Deleting your account in the application settings.
• Sending a deletion request via the in-app contact form.
• Discontinuing use of the Service.

10.2 By the Provider

We may suspend or terminate access to Friendly Budget if:

• You breach these Terms.
• You engage in fraudulent or malicious behaviour.
• Your account remains inactive for more than two years.
• We are required to do so by law or competent authorities.

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will notify you through in-app announcements, by email or via our website. Unless otherwise stated, changes take effect 30 days after notification. Continued use of the Service after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

12. Governing Law & Jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by the laws of Romania together with applicable European Union regulations.

12.2 Dispute Resolution

If a dispute arises:

1. Direct negotiation: Contact us via the in-app form.
2. Mediation: If unresolved, we agree to approach mediation through authorised institutions.
3. Courts: As a last resort, disputes may be brought before the competent courts in Romania.

13. Final Provisions

13.1 Severability

If any provision of these Terms is held to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will remain in full force and effect.

• Announcements or notifications within the application.
• The contact form available in Friendly Budget.

13.3 Language

This English version of the Terms is provided for convenience. In case of discrepancies, the Romanian language version prevails.
